Since 2017, Trondheim's city center has experienced a steady decline in visitors, significantly affecting the retail sector. Reduced mobility and limited public transport capacity are highlighted as key drivers of this trend. One of the main measures of the Urban Growth Agreement is to enhance public transport services, including metro buses, but the current bus service is already under strain.
E.C. Dahls Eiendom aims to contribute to positive urban development and therefore engaged an interdisciplinary student team to map current and upcoming public transport options in Trondheim. The goal was to provide key decision-makers with a data-driven foundation for better urban development.
